October 1 Count Window

Dear Preschool Student Parent/Guardian,

Each year, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requires all Colorado public schools to count the students attending school. This count determines the funding we will receive from the state.  We are approaching the student count period scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 2016 through Thursday, October 20, 2016.  The official count day determined through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is Wednesday, October 5, 2016.  Aurora Public Schools preschool classes do not attend on the official count day, so the state has allowed us to use Thursday, October 6, 2016 as the actual count day. Therefore, it is very important your child is in attendance on this day.

We thank you for your continued support for your child’s education.  Our goal is to have 100% student attendance on Thursday, October 6, 2016 and to receive all of the available state funds so we can provide your child with high quality preschool programming.
