October 1 Count – Attendance Window

Each year, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requires all Colorado public schools to count the students attending school. This count determines the funding we will receive from the state.  We are approaching the student count period which is

 Thursday, September 24, 2009 through Thursday, October 8, 2009. 

To encourage our students to attend class everyday, a raffle for a backpack has been organized.  Each day your child attends school from September 24th through October 8th, he/she will receive a ticket for the raffle.  If your child attends all eight days, they will have 8 tickets and 8 chances to win the backpacks.    Classroom teachers will write your child’s name on a ticket after each day’s attendance count and it will be placed in the raffle box. 

Thanks to everyone for their effort and continued support.  Our goal is to have 100% student attendance and to receive all of the available state funds for our program.
